A few weeks ago, I collaborated in a Luxe styled shoot, organised by the lovely Mannuela from Florissa Designs. Her vision was to portray a luxury wedding that was colourful yet elegant, and fun yet undoubtedly high-end. As you will see in the images below, Mannuela's attention to detail is second-to-none.
This blog is, unashamedly, a feast for the eyes. I hope it provides you with some magnificent inspiration and ideas. And, yes, you can incorporate bolder colours into your luxe wedding!
South Place Hotel is licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies. It is just a few minutes walk from both Liverpool Street and Moorgate stations, which makes it the perfect choice for your Chic City Wedding. This is a boutique hotel that is as luxurious as it is lively, a deft mixture of the contemporary City, London’s most historic quarters and the achingly cool East End.
The flowers certainly took centre-stage in this set-up. They were absolutely beautiful. I just love the use of colour and foliage - so luxe and jaw-droppingly gorgeous!
The bride's bouquet was just as breathtaking ..
Sophie, from Vintage Fleur Designs, captured the luxe floral theme perfectly with this stationery.
We tried two different looks for the day, both as elegant as each other.
The Hair Accessories
Again, two different looks.
The minute I saw these chairs, I fell in love ... swoon ...
It's all in the detail ... co-ordinating crockery, cutlery and decorative elements pulled this look together. I love the sophisticated ambience created by the staggered heights of the floating tea lights, and the droplets from the flowers arrangements are oh-so-lush.
Naturally, the cake needed to fit in with Mannuela's vision for the day and her brief was 'colourful flowers and foliage in pinks, peach and green'.
Capturing your special day with professional photography is a given (and huge thanks to Steve Mulvey and Inger Sanders for these images). However, hiring a videographer as well is becoming increasingly popular and adds a whole new dimension to reliving your special day. Follow me on Instagram and I'll post the video soon.
As with any wedding, the team behind the day were absolutely committed to delivering the best service and outcome and it was a great pleasure to work with them all. Feel free to show them some ❤.
